Please explain in your own words how a nebula forms into a star, using the terms: Mass, Gravity, Pressure, Temperature, Nuclear Fusion.

Answers

Answer 1
Once massive stars reach the red giant phase, the core temperature continues to increase as carbon atoms are formed from the fusion of helium atoms. Gravity continues to pull together the carbon atoms in the core until the temperature reaches 600,000,000 degrees Celsius. At this temperature, carbon atoms form heavy elements such as oxygen and nitrogen. The fusion and production of heavy elements continues until iron starts to form. At this point, fusion stops and the iron atoms start to absorb energy. This energy is eventually released in a powerful explosion called a supernova. A supernova can light the sky up for weeks. The temperature in a supernova can reach 1,000,000,000 degrees Celsius. This high temperature can lead to the production of new elements which may appear in the new nebula that results after the supernova explosion. The core of a massive star that is 1.5 to 4 times as massive as our Sun ends up as a neutron star after the supernova. Neutron stars spin rapidly giving off radio waves. If the radio waves appear to be emitted in pulses (due to the star's spin), these neutron stars are called pulsars. The core of a massive star that has 10 or more times the mass of our Sun remains massive after the supernova. No nuclear fusion is taking place to support the core, so it is swallowed by its own gravity. It has now become a black hole which readily swallows any matter and energy that comes too near it. Some black holes have companion stars whose gases they pull off. As the gases are pulled down into the black hole, they heat up and give off energy in the form of X-rays. Black holes are detected by the X-rays which are given off as matter falls down into the hole.

By which mechanism does older oceanic rock move at a ridge? Magnetic forces move the rock. Continents drift and move the rock. The ridge subducts and moves the rock. New molten material rises and moves the rock.

Answers

Answer:

it is d the answer is right our welcome

Explanation:

The mechanism by which older oceanic rock move at a ridge is : ( D ) New molten material rises and moves the rock

Oceanic rocks ( crust ) are made up of basalt and gabbro. Oceanic crust is thinner when compared to continental crust because of the continental crust are composed of andesite and granite which are light colored as well.

Older Oceanic rocks are moved at the ridges only when new molten materials are formed and these material rises from the crust causing the older Oceanic rocks to move.

Hence we can conclude that the mechanism by which older oceanic rock move at a ridge is New molten material rises and moves the rock.

What is the role of light and chlorophyll in photosynthesis?

Answers

Explanation:

During photosynthesis in green plants, light energy is captured and used to convert water, carbon dioxide, and minerals into oxygen and energy-rich organic compounds.

Chlorophyll's job in a plant is to absorb light—usually sunlight. The energy absorbed from light is transferred to two kinds of energy-storing molecules. Through photosynthesis, the plant uses the stored energy to convert carbon dioxide (absorbed from the air) and water into glucose, a type of sugar.

In photosynthesis, role of light is to convert water and carbon dioxide to organic products and chlorophyll helps in absorbing light energy from the sun.

What is photosynthesis?

It is defined as a process by which plants and other photosynthetic organisms convert the light energy in to chemical energy  through the process of cellular respiration.

Some of the energy which is converted  is stored in molecules of carbohydrates like sugar and starches  which are made up of from carbon dioxide and water . Photosynthetic organisms which can perform photosynthesis  are algae and cyanobacteria. Photosynthesis is largely responsible for producing and maintaining the content of oxygen in earth's atmosphere.

The process begins with proteins absorbing light energy which are called reaction centers and contain a green pigment which is called chlorophyll . In plants ,these pigments are present inside organelles called chloroplasts while in bacteria they are present in plasma membrane.

Based on the information in the table, the types of cells present in tissues are Cardiomyocytes are part of the circulatory system because they are muscle cells found in the heart, which pump blood throughout the body. The correct option is d.

What are cardiomyocytes?

The cell that contracts the heart is called a cardiomyocyte, and it does so with the help of a complex network of ion transporters and contractile proteins with the aim of efficiently carrying out the contraction-relaxation cycle.

Typically, pacemaker cells, force-producing ventricular and atrial CM, and cardiomyocytes (CM) are separated.

Therefore, the correct option is d. Cardiomyocytes are part of the circulatory system because they are muscle cells found in the heart, which pump blood throughout the body.
